Atlanta musical talents, Fred Sawyers and Keith Rawls created Hank’s campaign song, which we’re using at events and distributing widely throughout the District. We were lucky to have such great talents work with us to give an uplifting musical foundation to our efforts.  We all love to sing along!

Fred Sawyers, a native of Barstow, California, has made his home in Atlanta.  A fixture on the Atlanta music scene, he has provided backing vocals for Issac Hayes for more than l4 years.  A songwriter and producer he has recorded with many artists including The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Shawn Mullins, CeCe Winans, Kenny Lattimore, Gerald Alston, Myra Walker and Dottie Peoples.  He was a member of the group Cameo and has recorded for Motown, Polydor, Island, 4th and Broadway and Epic Records.

Keith Rawls, born in Flint Michigan has also found his musical home in Atlanta.  An in-demand producer, songwriter, keyboardist and arranger he also served as musical director for Universoul Circus.  He is well-known for his work over many years with Peabo Bryson.  He has worked with Jean Carne, Arsenio Hall, Excape, Bobby Brown, American Music Awards, Patti Austen, Benny Lattimore, Norman Connors and the SOS Band.  He wrote and co-produced a song for the late jazz great George Howard.
